Description

The RocketBall folding electric bike is part of the mini fat group, with the possibility to fold the frame, as you can do with the Fatty and Calipso models - both with 20" fat tyres, and the Gran Calipso with 24". The more than 10 centimetres of tread on the asphalt of its 20-inch diameter wheels ensures a surprisingly smooth ride to our daily activities, tackles bumps with more comfort, and develops excellent handling on open roads or urban routes. In addition, you can choose from a range of options to personalise the Rocketball and turn it into a real metropolitan space rocket. With the same geometry and components, but with a 2.1' wide wheel, we find the Rocket model.

The RocketBall is driven by an intelligent 8FUN brushless rear motor with 250 watts of power and 45 Newton-metres of torque, with a PAS 1:1 (Pedal Assist System) controller of 36 volts, 17 amps, which will help you reach maximum speed. As an option, it can be equipped with an 8FUN motor at the same location, with a rated power of 500 Watts and a torque of 80 Newton-metres. All variants of the selected electrical system come with a two-year warranty.

The on-board computer allows you to control the assistance on five levels, also configurable up to 9 levels of assistance for those who need more options to use the assistance in a rational way, equipped with a digital display that provides data related to the route, allows you to manage the entire electric system, to turn on and off the electric system and the lights, as well as to limit the maximum speed to which the system will push you. Legal throttle is available up to 6km/h at the touch of a button.

Power is provided by a Samsung Li-Ion battery, capable of delivering 10.4 amps, built into the 6061 aluminium frame - the latter with a five-year warranty - perfectly integrated, yet protected and visually unobtrusive. The standard battery can be fully charged in 4-5 hours with the supplied smart charger. Also available with 12.8ah and 14ah.

On the RocketBall folding electric bike, the daily safari through the urban jungle becomes a comfortable ride thanks to the 20-inch diameter by 4-inch wide Kenda tires, mounted on sturdy double-wall aluminum rims with steel spokes with copper reinforced heads. For added comfort, it is also equipped with Zoom front suspension and a rear shock from the same supplier or XS, depending on availability. Powerful LED lights at the front and rear add to the safety of night riding in city traffic, while mudguards on both wheels ensure that we arrive at our destination with clean clothes on. Finally, the combination of the comfortable, height-adjustable Cruiser Gel seat and the folding aluminum ZOOM handlebars, which are also adjustable in height, enables the rider, regardless of size, to adopt the comfortable straight-backed position.

To control the RocketBall we have the 8 quick and easy gear changes - even when transmitting high power - ensured by the Shimano Altus system, as well as mechanical brakes from the Japanese firm Shimano M375 or Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes, with discs of 160 millimeters in diameter on the rear wheel and 180 on the front. Within the range of electric folding bikes, with this electric projectile, neither steep climbs nor unexpected braking in the chaos of city traffic is a concern for the rider.
